TED is a non-profit organisation devoted to ‘ideas worth spreading’. TED runs conferences bringing delegates together from the worlds of Technology, Entertainment and Design. Speakers are leaders in their fields and are ‘challenged to give the presentation of their lives (in 18-minutes or less).

How to Make Stress Your Friend
For those going through stressful times or have ever experienced stress, there is an absolutely riveting talk by Kelly McGonigal, ‘How to Make Stress Your Friend.’
Ms McGonigal, from Stanford University, looks at stress from a totally different angle, showing the positive sides of stress. ‘While stress has been made into a public health enemy, stress may only be bad for you if you believe it to be so.’ The talk can be found at:
The Power of Introverts
Susan Cain‘s book ‘Quiet’ has become a Business best seller. In the book she argues that the modern world is built for extroverts and not for the 30-50 per cent or so of people who are introverts.
In the presentation, Ms Cain discusses the benefits that introverts bring to the work place and how everyone can develop from more solitude and deeper thought.
